A French Chateau

This was to define what had been learned up to this point. The task was to design a complex building using our knowledge of architecture while learning something new. So, I put it in the water. The design is a mixture of Gothic, Classical and Art Nouveau. The destination is an estate with ocean views, medieval activities, a historical adoration, and plenty more.

These drawings went through several iterations before reaching a desirable shape. Even then, due to time constraints, the structure was shrunk down by 1/2 before the final construction drawings were completed. In the beginning the building was designed to be a residence; however, over the course of two months it turned into a destination. There is housing for the owner of the cliffside estate as well as room and board for over 130 guests. This project was started with hundreds of ideas; however, over 1500 hours of careful planning and design work, this is the final product.
